Year 7 and Year 10 eMind Student Mobile Device Issue
and Information Sessions

As part of the eMind Student Mobile Device Programme, all students commencing Year 7 and Year 10 in 2017 will receive a tablet device. Following an extensive investigation and design process, the chosen device for the 2017 eMind Student Mobile Device rollout is the HP Revolve 810. Along with the extensive suite of software that the College provides, this high-quality tablet device provides students with an impressive educational tool.

It is a requirement of the College that students, with their parents or guardians, attend the relevant scheduled device issue and information sessions. During the session:

  • Parents or guardians, and students receive information about the College’s eMind Mobile Device Programme
  • Parents or guardians return the signed eMind Student Mobile Device Contract to the IT staff prior to Students being issued with their device.
  • Students receive their eMind loan device.
  • Students are shown basic handling procedures and will log on to their Coomera Anglican College network account in order to set up the device ready for the first day of term.

Year 7 students will receive their laptop/mobile device on the orientation day, Monday 23 January.

An Information Session for parents and guardians of Year 7 students on the College eMind Student Mobile Device Programme will be held in the Ivan Gibbs Centre from 9.00am - 9.30am on Monday 23 January. Students must bring their signed eMind Contract at the time of collecting their laptop. The contract must be signed by parents or guardians and the student.

Year 10 students will receive their mobile device on the first day of Term 1 2017 - Tuesday 24 January. .

There will be an Information Session for parents and guardians of Year 10 students on Tuesday 24 January at 3.15pm in the Lecture Theatre. Parents of all Year 10 students new to our College in 2017 must attend this information session. Current parents are welcome to attend if they wish. Students must bring their signed eMind Contract at the time of collecting their laptop. The contract must be signed by parents or guardians and the student.
